The project aims to draw attention to this growing threat with an installation and a series of events to be held in outdoor locations around the city. The light canopy on Andreas Hofer Platz will be transformed into a representation of the tin drum from Gunter Grass's anti-fascist novel of the same name. This installation, which will be visible from many different areas of the city will serve as a beacon, embodying active public action, as opposed to "deadly silence", and a focus for the other activities.

HEINZ TRENCZAK | ERINNERN SIE SICH?JOCHEN GERZ: NS-MAHNTAFELN, 63 JAHRE DANACH.
Von ursprünglich zwölf NS-Mahntafeln, die Gerz im Auftrag des Landes Steiermark im Jahr 2010 in Graz realisiert hatte, steht nur noch eine - vor der Burg, weil der Gehsteig an dieser Stelle Landes- und nicht Stadtgrund ist. Den Abbau aller anderen Tafeln hatte der Grazer Stadtrat Mario Eustacchio (FPÖ) verfügt. Heinz Trenczak zusammen mit seinem Team konnten den Abbau der vorletzten Tafel - ausgerechnet in Blickweite der Synagoge! - noch dokumentieren.

Nikola Macura's objects were created in several stages in the process of redesigning military equipment (bombs, rifles, grenades, hand grenades...). By redesigning the forms, one also redesigns their purpose. In this process, specific functional objects are achieved that can be used to realise music.

A large table set with homemade wine and sausages. Twelve guests are invited for food and drink. Conversations connect. The urban space has been transformed in a picnic.
NIKA RUKAVINA | HERE AND NOW
The artist repeats words that the Mynah birds on Pala Island have also repeated: Attention, Compassion, HERE and NOW. The central words we all need to repeat for ourselves in order not to lose contact with the reality we want to live in, the reality with less fear, more compassion, love and understanding for each other.
